English Language Coordinator of Content and Social Media for a leading academic Jewish studies institution in Jerusalem

Job Description:

Administration and operation of the social media pages for the Schechter Institutes; writing content for internet sites; writing content in order to advance projects of donors and partners; branding of Schechter as a leader in Jewish studies in the social media

Responsibilities:

  • writing content for social media, internet sites, announcements and advertisements
  • creating opportunities for frontal encounters between donors and Schechter projects
  • creating interaction with surfers through text, photos and videos
  • developing a dialogue on Judaism
  • promoting study programs
  • promoting articles and content by the Schechter faculty
  • advertising events and activities
  • developing a dialogue with Schechter lecturers; questions and answers
  • monthly distance learning
  • creating and administrating fundraising campaigns for targeted audiences
  • rapid response to questions and referring relevant questions to professionals
  • initiating dialogues/discussions on current events on the public agenda
  • annual and monthly work program

Qualifications:

  • Competency and knowledge of leading social networks (facebook, youtube, instagram, tweeter)
  • High level English writing skills
  • Expert proficiency in the English language
  • Creativity
  • Preferred: B.A. or certification in a relevant field (communications, new media, MBA)
  • Preference to those with a background in Jewish studies
  • Native English speaker

Position :

  • Part-time – 20 hours per week, 80-90 hours per month (possibility of working from home to some extent)
  • Possibility of full-time position for bilingual candidate (English-Hebrew)
