Dr. Ayala Ronen-Samuels – Chair – Director of Avi Chai Community Project in Nazareth; teacher and researcher at Oranim’s Sdemot Center. She earned her Ph.D. in Jewish Education at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York.
Dr. Yehoyada Amir – Dean of the Rabbinical Program at HUC Jerusalem and lecturer at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in the Jewish Thought Department. He is an active leader of the Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism (Reform Movement).
Ms. Na’ama Azulai – Pedagogical Director of Kol Yisrael Haverim. She is writing her doctoral thesis on “Secular activism in the area of Jewish renaissance” at Bar Ilan University, where she lectures on the religious-secular issues in Israel.
Dr. Ya’ara Baron – Academic Director of Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. She holds a Ph.D. in history and previously headed the Shenhar-Kremnizer Headquarters at the Ministry of Education.
Prof. Steven M. Cohen – Presently doing research at HUC, New York, he was previously on the faculty of the Melton Center for Jewish Education, the Hebrew University. Prof. Cohen is a leading sociologist of contemporary American Jewry and has also conducted research on Israeli Jewish identity.
Mr. Dori Dankner – One of Israel’s leading businessmen, he is Chairman of the Elran Group ,
Dr. Elan Ezrachi – One of the founding members of Panim’s Board and its first Chair, Dr. Ezrachi holds a Ph.D. in education. He is presently the director of the School for Jerusalem Studies, Yad Ben-Zvi and the former Executive Director of Masa a joint project of the Jewish Agency and the government of Israel.
Ms. Orly Kenneth – A board member for many years, she is presently the director of the San Francisco Gvanim Project for developing Jewish-pluralistic leadership in Israel and a former coordinator in the Shenhar-Kremnizer Headquarters. Ms. Kenneth is among the leaders of a new community prayer group in Ganei Yavne.
Mr. Ezra Rabin – Second chair of Panim. Recently the Director of a major Kibbutz Movement, he previously served as the Director of the Financial Department and General Secretary of the Kibbutz Artzi Movement and a member of the Board of Bank Hapoalim.
Dr. Asher Shkedi – Faculty member of the Center for Jewish Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His research focuses on developing teaching methods and curriculum, and teacher training in the areas of Jewish education and Bible studies.
