The Morasha program was established to enhance the status of Jewish, social and Zionist education in primary and high schools in the State-secular and State-religious sectors, while emphasizing the connection between personal identity, responsibility and social awareness. The program acts to empower schools as a community of mutual responsibility and to strengthen the connection between the pupil and the school in a manner that encourages active citizenship. The program constitutes a framework for the empowerment of principals and teachers contending with questions of personal and collective identity within the framework of study of Judaism, Jewish culture and the Zionist ethos.
